  • Did You Know...for Teachers

    • When importing grades into a student's report card, you might find it helpful to see what report card grades that student has received earlier in the year. This feature is also helpful for viewing subcategory grades and comments. By clicking the name of the student (while in report card input), you can view their report card without having to leave the screen you are in. No distractions, no disruptions!
    • Here are the steps to view a report card while in the middle of the input process:
      • After clicking the yellow button for ReportCard input, you will click the input button for a specific course
      • The roster for that course will display, along with the column to enter in report card grades
      • Each name in the roster on the left hand side is a link - click a student's name and their report card will appear in a new window
  • Did You Know...for Parents

    • Even though the ReportCard from the current grading period only has the comments for that period, you are still able to view/print the comments from the whole year. The same is also true for attendance.
    • Here are the steps to view your child's comments for the whole year:
      • Go to 'Home'
      • Click the 'View' button in the ReportCard column
      • When the ReportCard appears, click on the word 'Comments'
      • That student's comments for the whole year will appear on a separate screen which is printable
    • These steps can be followed for viewing Attendance as well.
  • What's New...

    • Assignment Calendars have never looked so good! We've made some improvements to the Assignments Calendar which will help strengthen the communication between school and home.
    • Did you know that the events a teacher creates in her GradeBook are automatically fed to a student's assignment calendar? If a teacher creates events before they occur, the students and parents can be better informed and prepared.
    • Here are some advantages to creating events before they occur:
      • Gives students and parents a 'heads-up' for the days and weeks ahead
      • Planning your lessons for the week goes hand-in-hand with creating the GradeBook events
      • Attaching files and links to future events can help students and parents prepare for upcoming assignments, tests etc.
    • The assignments calendar can be found on a parent's Home screen underneath their FDmail messages. There will be a black and white grid showing you all the viewing options available for the child's grades. One of the columns is labeled 'Assignment Calendar'. Click the 'View' button and a new window/tab will appear displaying a month's worth of dates. The month can be changed so that the parent or student can see a different range of dates.
