Coming Up This Month...
In April, most of our schools will be releasing mid-quarter reports. Here are some items that may need to be addressed:
- Closing input for 3rd quarter report cards
- Confirming the date range in the system for the 4th mid-quarter report
- Opening up teacher input for mid-quarter reports
- Closing mid-quarter reports when teachers have finished importing grades
In mid April, the steps for the Summer Transition process will appear at the top of your Home screen. Some of these steps involve:
- Creating staff accounts for any new teachers
- Moving students forward to their new grade and homeroom
- Creating courses and filling GradeBooks

For Trimester Schools...
Opening up teacher input for 3rd Mid-Trimester Report will require:
- Confirming the mid-trimester dates in 'Grades' then 'Report Card Input Controls'
- Changing input for mid-trimester from 'Not Yet' to 'Allow Input' in 'Report Card Input Controls'
- Having teachers go through the mid-trimester report card input process
- Closing the input process by changing 'Allow Input' to 'Input Complete'

What's New...
Parents
have several options when it comes to how they would like to receive
communications from the school. As an administrator, you can view all
of your parents' notification settings, as well as edit their email and
cell phone information.

April
is here and that means tax season. FastDirect has a tax report
for parents on their Home page. While all administrators do have
access to a parent's tax report, this report can be retrieved by the
parents, thus allowing you to focus on other responsibilities.

With
permission from the Principal, teachers can edit ReportCard grades for
the whole year without needing to go through the import process. This
method is helpful because it won't create added confusion for all
teachers when only one teacher needs to make a change.

your children for next year often means forms and paperwork. With
the file upload feature, you can send them as attachments with our
secure FDmail messaging.
